From schools to fishermen, we reach every corner of the emirate to encourage positive behavior change.
We are seeing real change, the majority of Abu Dhabi’s schools participate in our Sustainable Schools Initiative (SSI) – which seeks to capacity build school communities by giving them the opportunity to asses their own environmental impact and be able to address it and empower students to be environmental citizens and translate environment awareness gained into action.
Meanwhile, we engage organisations through our Green Business Network – enabling the sharing of environmentally-friendly practices in the workplace with an overall aim of making a greater collective contribution.
Highlights
- We engage 1.8M students across the UAE through our online i-Enviro Spellathon.
- 75% of Abu Dhabi schools are registered for our Sustainable Schools Initiative (SSI), which is recognised by the UN as a ‘best practice’ programme.
- Our ‘Connect with Nature’ programme is inspiring and encouraging youth in the UAE to explore the country’s natural heritage – in partnership with Emirates Nature-WWF.
